Know about Singapore? Ever heard of Kampong Kapor?

Presented by a group of 10 enthusiastic students from the School of Design and Environment at the National University of Singapore, currently in our Year 2 of study, pursuing the BA(Arch).

Here is the interview with Albert Liang at the Show Room.

Here are some photos taken at the site.

“Project SUB-Lime (A Study of Kampong Kapor)” is an urban study and design exercise on Kampong Kapor that they have conducted in their first year studio, exploring the “In-between spaces” near Little India, and designing structures that contribute uniquely to their community.

Encouraged by their tutor and mentor, Dr. Lai Chee Kien (Asst. Prof), NUS, they would like to invite you to their exhibition and become more acutely aware of the hidden sides of Little India, the difference in taboo/another culture and marvel at the diversity of peoples found right here in Singapore. Their project intentions and schemes will provoke thought, and possibly, amuse.

Held from the 24th of September 2008 to the 4th of October 2008. Our venue sponsor is the Post-Museum, located at 107+109, Rowell Road, Singapore 208033 (in Little India). It is free admission.

SEE YOU THERE!!
